But instead of having FS3, we have several mods released for FS2. And there is SCP, which wouldn't be able to replace the true feeling what FreeSpace 3 COULD HAVE GIVEN to us(Impossible condition stressed ). At least be glad we have advanced FreeSpace 2. I dare say this.

For FreeSpace 3? If it would have had real and human-like Ai, maybe. FreeSpace 2 and the other games(Quake 3 and Jedi Knight 2 on the top) give me prejudices about the Ai. So there is no way for me to feel strong wish to 'grab' FreeSpace 3. Simply because I am sure it would only have different missions, and nicer graphics.

Indeed TopAce, 2 things come to mind when thinking of "Advancements to FS2"

1: Source Code Project
2: Inferno

Put them together, You basically got FS3...only it's free...and loads better

Inferno scares me. it's a little farfetched.  Inferno is like a whole new game. the capships are too powerful and a player really doesn't have a whole lot of tatic options. My opinion, inferno is the complete end of FS alltogether. does anybody know what I mean.  I love the smaller capships but there has to be a limit on power.  But of course there's not you can do. its just an opinion.
