Right, I have a technical question if anyone is able to answer:
What is the license for SS:TGS?
...Can't find the source at the moment, but as best as I can figure, it was released under some flavor of the BSD license. Does anyone have confirmation of this, or alternately, a rebuttal?

Best I could find:

Well, depends on what Milo says about it, I guess.
On that note, he has been in contact and has graciously changed the licensing on the source code release so that it is now under a variant of the 3-clause BSD license, which is extremely good news.
It looks like later forks of the original source have the new copyright:

Awesome, thanks crossboneisland!
In any sense, the license reference I first found was on some sort of placeholder reference in the remnants of Google Code. Again, can't find it right now and it's no longer a big deal because:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSD_licenses
Indeed, it's BSD 2.0 / 3-clause license
As far as I can tell, that's super-awesome. I'm no license guru, so I can't tell the pros and cons of this, but in general it's only good news. :D
