This is the fighter I'm working on. Any Ideas on where to take it from here?
It has about 280 vertex and 520 faces.
How does this compare to an 'average' fighter.

It not a problem with the polycount. The Myrmidon in FS2 has 315 verts and 544 polygons. What's next? I would like to see this baby textured.  

One last thing, in what "format" are the ship in? COB, POF, 3DS or maybe something else.

mmh.. organic... should map it with ancient maps

It is currently in .max format but should convert to cob without too many problems as it is made with one sub-object.
I was going to convert it untextured and try lithunwrap on the pof file as I only have Truespace 2 which sucks for texturing.
I like the anchients Idea. Perhaps a little terran reworking of artifacts. oops gotta go bed is calling as is work in the morning.

oops it's supposed to have a dent on both sides. I musta slipped with the mouse and not noticed.
Be prepared for the magnavox bomber next?

Nice. You sure its only 520 faces?

Looks kinda bulky. Too square to be Ancient. Would have to be a Vasudan Heavy Bomber, make the head a little smaller and it could be a cruiser.

Looks sweet.  If it was small enough, it'd be a good fighter.  Maybe make it more streamlined.  I can't wait for textures

Very nice design! I like the back end a lot, the front might look a little better if you extended the nose some to make it look a little more sleek?
