The way the mouse works with the yaw and pitch, I must constantly move my mouse in a direction in order to turn at max speed. This means I have to keep picking my mouse up, moving it back and moving it across again several times during each pass in a dog fight. I played a game called Jumpgate, where the turn speed was determined by how far your mouse was from a central point on the screen. This allowed you to turn at full speed with minimal wrist movement while still allowing you to turn slowly if needed by moving your mouse very little. It was highly efficient for mouse Piloting. Is this possible with Diaspora/Freespace? I've actually never played any freespace game before.

Works just fine with Diaspora for the most part, although it breaks at least one of the training missions.

Well, to start, be sure your mouse sensitivity is at max in the options screen (F2).  But yeah, toggleale mouse as joystick script FTW.
