*First time on forums*

Hey all,

I've been spending the last few days installing freespace and figuring out how to get 1 & 2 to work properly and with all the newest updated files. I think I did it right, the game seems to work and also looks a lot better (3612 media vps, 3.6.12 launcher).

 As I was figuring out how to do this and what to dl, I came across installation instructions that gave custom tags to use in the launcher for best look, I've looked all over and cant find it again... I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on what to use for the best look, and any other advice to make the game as good as possible.

I was also curious if anyone released a sequel mod 'Freespace 3' type thing, or if there were any other good extra campaigns that tie into the story real well.

Most campaign makers don't really like referring to their work as "FreeSpace 3", but Blue Planet and Derelict are usually among the recommended campaigns when talking about post-Capella stuff. There are also a bunch of other great campaigns that happen before or after or during FS2, or FS1.

excellent, the lighting effects page is better then what i was actually looking for, and I'll try some of those custom mods.
