Sorry to say that, but I think  you have broken the Alves model Woo.

I really think that Alves looks much better with previous nose, like this:

 :wtf: it's the same mesh as the R1 one. It hasn't changed except for the cockpit.

I like the more specialised idea Inferno is going for, it will make the player think much more about ship and loadout selections for each mission.

Is the alves meant to be a next-gen Erinyes? Their designs are vaguely similar.

I'm really sorry to say this, but dude...the Ursa's bomb bays...urgh...they just...look...wrong to me for some reason. Maybe its just the angle of the pic, but i think they might look better flipped vertically (so the "spikes" were level with the cockpit). At the end of the day, its your descision though.

Still, cool pics! Look foward to more if you get the chance! 8)

I prefer the Jotun,very very cool.

The Alves is supposed to...it's an heavy fighter.The Keres is the Erinyes mk II.

LOL, I was looking at Aldo's modeldumps and the Alves is called the Erinyes 2 in there. At least I think so. :lol:

I like the current nose on the Alves. xD

Though I have to say I don't like the Ursa II... I strongly dislike the design... I kind of feel like it's lost its character with that new mesh...  :(

Otherwise, really nice stuff. Me likes. :) :yes:

Well the Ursa 2 bays were designed like that by the model maker (not sure whos Ursa 2 it is) from a concept pic. I don't really like changing other peoples designs unless I really need to. It's supposed to look more sleak than the original. I like the FS1 big brick though :D

That's a newly textured Jotun that I completed about 30 mins before posting those first shots. The old one looked too blury.

 :doubt: It's like... the Ursa II model is sorta stretched out and the textures look... "off". :nervous: IMO more could've been done to the sides of those boxy vent thingies (the ones above the bomb pods), maybe some sort of wings or... or something... to at least cover up the stretchy look of the thing. But I see a point in not changing the design unless absolutely necessary. :nod:

That Jotun posted in the first thread, me likes very much. :) I discount my little gripe about its bombpod/wing linkage points.

If I could model (I can't even properly import a ready-made model into FS2 :lol:), I would've made the Ursa II's batteries into a squarish shape of sorts, and added some attachments to connect the vents and the bomb pods together. But that's just me. :lol:

Maybe I should draw it later tonight. xD

That Jotun posted in the first thread, me likes very much. :) I discount my little gripe about its bombpod/wing linkage points.
In the original concept pic the bombpods rotate underneath the ship at that point.
And no I don't plan on implementing that now.

Going by the arrow and what I can read of the text, the Jotun missile silos would be underneath the ship in non attack mode and would only be in place for attacking its target.

Never noticed that 'till now. Well, it would have been cool, but I guess if we want it released sometime this decade, you've got to draw the line somewhere.

Is it just me, or does the Shivan concept on the left second from the top sorta look like Duck Dodgers would own that ship... :nervous:

With the animation code, could that be keyed into whether the bomb is locked or not, Either move into place as the Missiles a nearing a lock, or have a new flag for weapons,
"Bays open only" and have the "bays" controlled by a keypress? :confused:

Yeah but I don't want to animate the Jotun, because then I have to add things like animated fighterbay doors to all the capships or the Jotun becomes a gimmick ship as it would be the only model using that feature.

What, you mean the Phoenix?  That was in Nukemod, so I assume Nuke made it?
