Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
This is the thread where you get to ask all of your questions about BlackWater Operations.  Questions about the storyline, ask us about the MODing process, or just ask us how awesome we are :).  We'll take anything on*.  So fire away with your questions and the team will respond.  Beware that the responses may be in code, cryptic, or straight out.

* No questions about release dates please

How come when everyone says "There are no Shivans in BWO," it reminds me of "There are no US tanks in Baghdad,"?

God damn it, MT was about to go on a publicity run, and then BWO makes their own question thread.

I'm absolutely sure Raven(2k+1) has something to do with this.

I just figured it'd be more on topic than our recent round of locked topics.  Raven wasn't in on it so he's clear :)

How much progress, in percentage, would you say you've made on BWO?

I won't ask 'how long left to go', because thats like asking Dubya 'When are you going to pull out of Iraq?'

Id say 70\80%, but im not the one doing the maths, so take it with a grain of salt :P

Ace or Ice can give you a more accurate number.

Because as the joke goes...Alpha 1 always wins.  We wanted to be a bit more mysterious with who wins and looses :)

BlackSheep, who we haven't heard from in a little while, has composed a title theme and a battle track.  The battle track isn't quite finished because it doesn't have all of the interactive little bits.  Hopefully we'll be able to track him down soon.  The intention was for two new in-mission sound tracks and the theme (which is done and great!).

Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask

There will be new music that goes along with the general themes of the plot. The battle track that IceFire is mentioned has been completed save for some final editing to place it in-game, but there's another track or two that we'd like done as well.

How much progress, in percentage, would you say you've made on BWO?

With model HTLing and conversions, VO work, and final balancing still needed probably 70% done.

Why do you guys have some punk named Aidan Mallory instead of good old Alpha 1?

BWO is a story-driven campaign. From the demo you can tell why IceFire and Kellan decided on a named character with a history. There are plot and thematic elements that are driven further by the character having a history.

Why do fools fall in love?

A biological imperative to reproduce justified by cultural constructs.

You'll definitely see the GTVI rogue faction, and there will be subtle hints as to the fate of Morgan technologies.
