I am playing Main Freespace campaign and already in the beginning  of the mission I was not able to choose an option in he Comm menu. Has it something to do with my AZERTY keyboard? Or is there a specific method to move between the possible choices?
I'm sure it is something only a newbie doesn't know.
Can someone enlighten me on this?

You use the top-row number buttons (not the numpad ones). Press the number next to the option and it will select it.

I believe AZERTY has a different number row to QWERTY (or at least that's my guess from a quick look in the FSO code). You could try adding this custom launcher parameter?

Assuming you're using wxLauncher, go to the advanced tab and add the parameter to the "Custom Flags:" field.

First: Pushing the top row number keys gives no reaction at all. The keys on the number pad are assigned to other function in this game. Thats the reason I posed the question on the forum.

Adding this "-keyboard_layout azerty" to the custom launcher did the trick.
