I just need Sufficient support shown, I cannot do this ALONE I'm not an artist, or too great a story  writer at that


basically im just a programmer, and a pretty [?over?]confident one at that, so i would appreciate help if I were to ressurect it

As I told you on ICQ, I _can_ help you with storyline stuff.  I'm sure you could bend Setekh's arm enough to do skins......he's such a p1mp for exposure.  He needs to take a break from FSS pics......they're twisting him.

Well... *tried to remember the first one*

The initial cutscene

Two fleets - Terran/Vasudan and Shivan approaching each other, suggestive of a coming battle

Then within firing range nothing happens, the two fleets form up into one and the image zooms in on the bridge of the flagship of the terran section of the fleet, into the bridge you see a view screen with a shivan in it and computerized english speach - the commanders are greating each other [and so on]

the fleets move tword a planet in the background.

A monologue begins - [artist can do whatever they would like with the camera, complete freedom here]
"So, Bosch brings the bribe of friendship with the Shivans when he returns.  ETAK has allowed us the break the communication barrier.  So we forge another alliance.  Twice before the shivans came and destroyed our worlds, now they come as friends."

Yeee.........getting/making 3D models of the people and shivans might be difficult, you know.

Well I would like it saved, although maybe you should give up on the cutscenes.  If all else fails couldn't you find a way to use in-game graphics with a voiceover.

If you get me the script and the models (in 3DS or LW format), I MIGHT be able to get one of my über-l33t friends to make you a cutscene. But it would be a standard video file.

no it wouldn't be.. they would just have to render it to TGA frames at 30 fps 640 x 320, and the sound.. V would compress them and stuff

I'll ask around. If they're not too busy, I might be able to persuade them to do that

Kazan, I'm normally an optomist and I really want to have a couple of cutscenes for BWO if time permits, but having people and Shivans is NOT easy at all.

I suggest what you do is focus on getting those missions sparkling clean with as few errors as possible and done up with all those messages and whatnot.  Thats what counts.  Then if you have time, I suggest making single frame Command Briefings...use some of the rendering talent on here like Setekth and have him make you some of those scenes.  Pictures can speak almost as much as movies can.

Pilot chatter voice authors [must be able to edit missions, he/she will be entering the chatter into the mission script]
