EDIT2: Actually, this thread may yet have purpose. And the title doesn't conflict with what I'm about to say! We all know about the lateral, veritcal, and backwards movement for ships that can be put in ala table editting. I always though this was great and could really add a new dimension to fighters and how they work. However...there isn't a way to configure the buttons for these movements! If support could be added to just that, I'm sure it could add something relatively exciting to fighter and bomber movements. Of course, the AI would also have to be editted to reflect these new movements, lest fighting the computer would be far too easy. Now this is a task I know nothing about performing. I can't code, nor have I even touched the code. I'm just an idea man. So, I guess the question is, is this possible? More importantly, is it something that the community would like implimented into FS2?

Try keys 1 & 3 on the keypad to "slide". That is supposed to work...

No no no...*thunks head on desk* I meant having the ability to *remap* those keys where they would be more useful. I.E. On a joystick or gamepad, or even in a better-reachable area on the keyboard.

ahhh, now I understand...
OK, this one's not too tough, it's mostly table driven. I'll look into it.
