Query regarding Carver V campaign

Hi all

First post here, so I'll be brief. I've got the latest build of MCO and am currently playing through the "standard" Carver V campaign. Several comments on the ModDB page suggest that I should at some point get access to the new, added 'mechs in the mech bay (and presumably some of the added weapons, too- I'm so far about 6 missions through and not a peep. Could anyone clarify this for me, and give me an idea of if/when I'll expect to get access to them?

No new stuff in standard Carver 5 campaign.

Its in "modified" Carver 5 campaign.
