Title: Ships Not Rendering in Linux/Intel Graphics
Post by: downerczx on October 14, 2012, 01:24:38 am
Hello,

I have a laptop with an  (IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100) graphics card. I compiled from source and I get the launcher going, but I can't view ships in the ship viewer and the rendered images look like junk. I thought I read somewhere it doesn't work with Intel graphics. Is this true?

thank you

It may work if you turn off post processing in the launcher's advanced settings.

Sadly, it doesn't seem to have any effect.

UPDATE! I clicked "Don't use shaders for model rendering" and it looks like I'm in business!

2nd Update: Wow, performance is terrible with this graphics card! Even on ultra low detail super slow. 4 gigs of ram and duocore2. Time to move to another rig I guess.
thanks!
