Hello.

I just downloaded the game and installed it. I did everything that was needed there, but when I click the "play" button- nothing happens. Nothing at all.

I re-installed the whole thing, installed the patch, restarted- nothing helped. Still the same problem.

Does anyone know what can I do?

1) OS
2) launcher type & version
3) FSO version
4) How you installed FSO (e.g. following manual instructions / installer / etc)

That's your problem.
Diaspora is a standalone game, you don't need anything else to play it.
FSO should only be installed if you have an working copy of Freespace 2.

Make a fresh install of Diaspora, preferably to C:\Games\Diaspora.
There should be a shortcut on your desktop after installation.
You could try to run the game as admin.

If that doesn't work, report back.

Did just that. It doesn't even seems that the "play" button is clickable.

As a diagnostic, what happens if you start the game by clicking on the fs2_open_Diaspora_R1.exe file in your Diaspora folder?

Isn't the "play doesn't work in launcher" a known issue ?

Generally I'd expect the play does nothing error if you somehow have no exe selected. What does it say on the Basic Settings tab of the launcher. For that matter, what does it say on the mods tab?

Mods: Diaspora (in c/games/diaspora/(no mod).

Maybe this is the problem?

Also- I don't seem to able to make it full screen. I can't see all the things at the bottom of the screen, even when I hide my taskbar. Any way to do that?

Okay, this sounds like the same issue someone else was having with launch resolution. You should definitely be able to work it using the launcher. I don't recall the fix off the top of my head - poke around here and see if you can find the thread, maybe it'll be helpful?
