Anyway, I kinda like personal icons, but your descision here makes a lot of sense. It keeps the place cleaner, with a more defined chain of command. I ***ume that you guys will keep this place tidy, but I hope you keep the users in mind. Please dont own everything that is OT or not exactly FreeSpace. And please, please, restrict the deleting. Deleting all but the most deserving threads will cause dislike and unwanted feelings. I know the example is a little outrageous, but remember what is (or was) going on at the RN forums.

It depends which background it's on. Black it will look fine on, but the blue it will be a bit too hard to read.

Well, as I see it- thought this BB has a purpose in mind (the discussion of mods and the campaigns and so on on HLP) It's not limited to that. What we dont want to see is (but not limited to) the following:

1) Bad language, Flame wars of any type. Threads of this nature will be owned or deleted on sight.

2) OT Threads. I'm concidering making an "OT" area that is more heavily administrated than Warpstorms "Rift" but has no rules as such- just no flame wars and so on. If you want to post OT stuff as you would on the VBB then this may be a good place to go, but some of the OT content on the VBB is uncceptable here.

3) Discussion of other companies or people in a bad way (so no having a go at Interplay or people you don't like here please).

Thanks for the compliments. It seems that this forum has fulfilled it's original purpose, and even more. I think I speak for all the staff here in that that makes us very happy.

I think that's a good thing. You all know us HLP Staff (with a couple of exceptions), and you know us as vets of the FreeSpace community. We are just like you - something we wanted to avoid is the 'hey you puny members, stay down there while we do important stuff because we are better than you' attitude. We also want to help.
