Re: POLLTTUTA demands your FAVORITE WARSHIP
GTD Aquitaine. Psamtik might be the best destroyer but Hecate is the coolest, and Aquitaine is home.

would be cool if they made this destroyer better at, like, you know, destroying

When the Atreus gets the Aesaar treatment, I'd guess it will skyrocket in this poll...

GTD Aetreus, still my favorite destroyer and beam-whore of the Tevs.
Blame Blue Planet for my Freespace2 addiction.

Re: POLLTTUTA demands your FAVORITE WARSHIP
man the atreus has so much more going for it than beams, you're selling it short there

I can't believe I haven't voted yet!

Definitely the Vassago. An entire campaign revolves around the vessel even though its appearance is so brief!

It's so awesome it exists in a different parallel universe!

I think he's doing it on purpose, at this point. If we all pretend we didn't notice, he might stop.

Re: POLLTTUTA demands your FAVORITE WARSHIP
Favourite ship: Colossus

Reason why: Because if you told anyone the plot of Freespace 2 it would easily be their favourite ship.

It makes the CO of the Hawkwood wet himself, crushes the NTF ships barricading jump nodes and then sacrifices itself to give us a chance of keeping the Shivans out of the rest of our systems. The game just never showed us the Colossus invading NTF territory with all beams blazin' and did a pretty awful job at giving it an heroic send-off. That all still happened, though. It was a fine ship which the GTVA should be proud of. Plus it had awesome VA, even if it sounded like someone was wetting himself because of a piddling little Ravana.

Favourite SEXP: player-use-ai

Granted, it's the only ship that has ever had a massive cutscene just for itself.

Except the Lucifer && Bastion scenes, unless you're emphasizing "massive". The Colossus scene is longer than the other two (if you don't include the Alpha 1 monologue at the end of FS1).
