Also as a side effect, this PR has changed the way that OpenGL works and raised the minimum required version to 2.0, unless you're using the fixed-function renderer (i.e. -no_glsl I believe in which case OpenGL 1.2 should still work)
Actually, OpenGL 2.0 is the absolute minimum requirement now. That version of OpenGL still had the ability to use the fixed-function pipeline which can be used with the -no_glsl option but the text and line rendering will still require OpenGL 2.
