Yes. The USA, Europe, and Russia each have an unlockable bonus aircraft that is a 22nd-century version of a real world fighter jet. To unlock such an aircraft, you would achieve a hidden objective in a certain mission. Once that is done, an ace will appear flying the bonus aircraft, and you have to shoot him down to unlock his plane.

Screw the cockpits (Not really, they're freaking awesome), it's an F-15 ACTIVE!

I would personally prefer cockpits that had less gunk in the main screen (including the glass HUD plate which makes no sense if everything's projected to your helmet visor) and more window. However, I'll be more than happy with any cockpit that features decent resolution textures and a good baked ambient light map in the glow map.

From what I understand, if/when we get render-to-texture in the engine, we'll be able to have fully-functional cockpits, which will be awesome.  I seem to remember Diaspora planning to utilize something along those lines.

render-to-texture already exists.  It's how environment maps are done - 6 views of the backgrounds/skybox are rendered and used as a cubemap.  That doesn't necessarily mean that it would be any easier to make it work with cockpits though.

1/ What exactly is Antipodes ? I've heard of those special builds a few times now, but i still can't figure out...

2/ Any clue on when exactly would Wings come out ? (I know it'll get released when it's done, but i'm not too sure, and would like to know if it'd be possible to get some kind of ultra-rough estimation :°)
