Title: The Cain-class cruiser Taranis mission

After I successfully complete the mission I jump home, than the Freespace 1 port stops responding. I am assuming this is where the video cut scene  shows the boarding going into the taranis etc.  Since up to now the game as played fine. Where do the movies from the FS CD's get installed? I do not see movies in the folder anywhere. though at the start of the game I watch intro, am I guessing right?  if I am right oh :banghead:

Right. Nothing is wrong with your movies. The thing is, the game loads the mission before playing the movie. And FSO seems to freeze up at that point because it is generating a cache file for the Typhon, which is a known issue and requires a long time. The game isn't stuck, even though your windows considers it's not responding during loading.

You can find info about that all around the FSPort forum. The solution is just to let it run for a few minutes until it finishes to generate that cache file. It's a one-time thing, the cache won't have to be generated again after that.

IceyJones was working on it but that was a long time ago. The first shots looked bloody awesome but I don't expect him to show up anymore :doubt:

I think he was discussing this, along with a lucifer attacks earth game over cutscene too...
