That Starbase is gonna be 5-6km in diameter, and becoause of it's shape I'm having a little trouble with placing turrets, but it goes well..

Good news.  Chapter 2 is finished, all I have to do is a few fiction files and package it.  A day or two until release.

Chapter 3 is nearing completion.  For some reason the ninth mission deleted itself:hopping:  and it was horrendously complicated, so it will take some time to redo it.

Sorry to hear that, I was kinda hoping to play all three chapters together...

As for the missions, One thing I have learnt in FRED is that a lot of time you NEED to backup your missions folder.

My blind guess is that you somehow saved something else over it. I am probably wrong, but that is the VERY reason I keep losing some of my best files. I open them, open something else, and then somehow save as...

and Murphy's law does the rest.

I hate to do this to you but chapter 3 ends in a cliff hanger.  You'll really have to wait until the end of chapter 4 to catch a breather, game wise at any rate.

Well, I am away from my PC, so I probably will be playing in mid to end of August. If you have chapter 4 ready by then, OK, if not, I will just have to cliff-hang some!!

One problem I have with chapter 2 is that it crashes after the mission where you kill the ravana in bombers.  

One thing I don't really like about this is the capship battles.  When your blockading the node, ships don't last more than like 5 seconds, and theres far too many beams being shot at once.  Maybe if you toned that down and shot for higher quality it would be better.  If you want to play a mission that's pretty high quality capship battle wise, go play the NTV demo.  That might give you an idea at what im saying.

As for the campaign crashing, I have no idea at all why it does that.  I do know that it works just fine if you start again, it moves onto the next mission with any hassel.

In regards to the excessive amount of beam weaponry used in that mission, I was aiming for a sense of volume and battle intensity.  Plus it was the Shivans strategy to flood the node just to get one Ravana through.
