Title: August 2014 Screencap Contest

This month's theme: Dread...

It's 2014! That means a new screencap season! We're going to do things slightly differently this year. Our many campaigns are filled with emotional ups, downs, and/or lackthereof. So let's highlight that with a whole year's worth of emotional themes. I don't care what's in the image as long as it portrays the particular feeling for the month (and is captured from in-mission).

Holy crap!  How did you get that awesome looking effect?  (and it's a damn shame about that colour banding that I'm guessing FSO is creating)

Ooops, didn't see that colour banding before you mentioned it :D

The screens were made by setting saturation to 20 and setting the 'camera' behind a warping sath.

Let's just hand this one off to Mpez and start over. :)

That first one would be a contender for best shot of any screenap contest to date imo. Just awesome. Looks like an underwater scene. The submarine and the huge movie monster.

Maybe... but they definitely wouldn't fit the theme of Vasudans (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Screencap_Contest#2013_Screencap_Season).

I meant if you took all the winners and this and compared them to each other with no theme rules.
