I've installed the the mod using the FSO installer, installation went fine.
Trying to run the game using the wxlauncher and the mediavps 3.6.12 version, I was able to finish training, but run into this error during briefing and can't click any buttons on the screen
" Error: Could not load in 2_CommandBrief-mb! File: window.cpp Line: 81 " is the error

Why are you using outdated files? 2_CommandBrief-mb is part of the current MVPs, and probably the 2014 ones too (haven't checked it).

I have tried using them, but a lot of errors do seem to pop up, 72 to be exact, and even when continuing despite the errors, this same error also shows up.

Possible your FSPort version is outdated/incompatible?
In case that isn't the issue you could switch to Knossos launcher/installer that handles stuff like that automatically.

Okay, using the Knossos launcher seems to have fixed the issue.

The error was caused by failure to load a file in MV_Root.vpp -- which makes sense because according to your log, that file was not present in your mod folder. There may have been an error downloading it.
