I've already said I like this one on SectorGame. Have you fixed the floating turrets yet though?

I fixed them in MAX, but I have had a little difficulty getting it to convert correctly. I'll take another stab at it tomorrow or more likely Thursday, when I don't have work.

Thanks for your effort -- I grabbed it already from sector game. Does this mean you now have the skills to make a certain vacuum cleaner look good now?? ;)

Anyway, I'm not here to impress anyone. I made it how I wanted it, and if other like it too, then it's just gravy.  Once I get the turret fixes done, and re-re-release it, I'm not going to touch it anymore.

That's what I thought when I saw the pics. It's a completely different matter when you get the pof running in FS2_Open.

Besides apart from rounding it some more there really isn't that much you can do to the Sobek.

yeah, you really need to look at it in Model View to appreciate how different the mesh is.

I looked at it in TS and it mostly looks like a mesh-smooth...

Well, sorry, 'Mr. Every ship has to be grebled beyond recognition. '

This is how the ship should have been. Perhaps more detailed engines, but that'll be a project for a later date. There isn't alot you could have done to this model...

Yeah... I'll keep that in mind for next time... :fake smile:

Anyway, I did bump out the armored parts, and recess the red parts. Once I get it to convert with the turrets in the correct postions, It'll be done, and over with.

I think it looks a lot better right now. I imagine once it is turreted, Lightspeed will have a taylor made cloth for it.

Let's see...

Very subtle. The shadows and the shine show up great on it, well done. :)

Modelling the scales would be kind of messy with the tiled texture and without antialiasing, though.
