A few nights ago I got bored, and decided to look at the source code for some of the mods used on my main server.  I was palling around in the movecraft mod, when I discovered a secret.  It was never documented, and has wondrous and terrifying implications: Hyperspace. 

Currently the function is a wee bit finicky, but if you can calculate the coordinates right, you can take your vessel across the map in a jiffy, provided you don't botch the jump and warp inside a mountain.  Doing that sucks major @$$.

It has also unlocked a new and devastating way to make war.  The CFW server now has SUBSPACE MISSILES!

Qaz, Corpse and I went for a nice jog around the server today. In fact, we didn't stop until we were about 10,000 meters south of the start point (shattering funtapaz's record and not killing the server):



We came across many awesome looking things on our travels, including (but not limited to):

Huge waterfalls


Desert for as far as minecraft can render


A big middle finger to gravity


And very many awesome caves







The next goal is for 20km south, and we would love for more people to join.

You may be thinking of the Trashmania -> Fenris rail.

I had plans to connect mine for a while, but I finished it last night.

So currently you can get to:
Town
BF's Domes (above water, you can see them but not reach them)
The Meadow (or where the revenant bastion's swastika was obliterated)
Auxiliary A (some random stop just past a wooden shack I found, it seems abandoned)
Northlands (where my northern death factory is)
Fenris (view of the open side)
Shade's rail (connects to the stop just after the fenris stop if you're heading north)

I'm open to suggestions for other destinations. I intend to extend my rail westward as far as I can. No real reason, just doing it to have an easily accessible place far away from the clutter near town and the northern town on shade's rail.
