Looks brilliant, and a useful model to have mission wise. Freighters and the like make proper storyline-type missions possible.
-
Holy crap.Nice.
-
You guys gonna have a pirate-modified version like in EaW?
-
If it's only source of existence is in a previous game, it's not exactly on our priority list, unless it drastically improves mission possibilities.

If I remember correctly, the Wild Karrde (or more accurately, the class of vessel the Karrde is based on), is one of the backdrop ships on Coruscant during Episode II or III (kind of like how the Outrider makes an appearance in Episode IV).
-
The Outrider only showed up in the Special Edition, which we all know came out after Lucas went insane. It was not in the original Original Trilogy.
Wookieepedia credits the Wild Karrde in the novels and XWA, not Episode 3, but it could be wrong. Either way, if that's what was referred to as 'pirate-modified', they should have just said so. :) If not, it probably isn't something we're too worried about, although 'modifying' could be as simple as another table entry. The Wookieepedia also credits some form of Action VI with being in Episode II, but it doesn't mention which one. The base ship is in numerous novels and games though, so it definitely warrants us getting it done.

Fine model - as always - but judging by the way it looks, aren't 4500 polies too much?
-
No.
-
It's not too many or anything, however there is probably room to cut some out, Tempest's app just isn't the best for doing that a lot of the time.
-
Wow, looks just like the Wilde Karrde! What'd you use for references?
-
I believe Wilde Karrde is an Action VI. I used the egvv iso view and the schematics, and made up the bottom and engines, since there weren't references.
On the polycount, there are lots of small details that definatley won't be present on LOD1. Otherwise this is an efficient model, polywise.

I believe Wilde Karrde is an Action VI.
Kinda what I meant. The Wilde Karrde is probably the most famous Action VI.
