CoW needs help

Today I learned an important lesson.  HLP has some of the best tutorials to be found.  Take all the tutorials I have found on SVN.  They helped me to set up absolutely nothing.  Not kidding.

Anyone who can help get SVN set up PM me please.  I downloaded toroisehg, tortoise svn....mercurial.....and i am so lost i can't find my way out with a compass, a map and a GPS.  I feel like an idiot.

Well first you need someone to set up a server to host your SVN.
