The Apocalypse Project's basic idea is to bring the Homeworld universe to the FSO engine, showing the perspective of pilots of the smallest craft, not of the commanders who control entire fleets. The project started some six and a half years ago, and so far... the current team has accomplished much more than all previous teams together. However, to ensure that we can actually deliver the goods, so to say, we need more people.
Openings:
- Modellers, with experience with remodelling ships
- Texture artists with experience in creating Diffuse, Specular, Glow and Normal maps
- Animated Effects artists who are familiar with the basic animation structure of the FSO engine
- Media Artist, Creation / Editing of Videos
- Sound Effects artist with experience making or remaking explosion sounds, thruster sounds and so on...
- FREDders, with experience with FSO SEXP's

I really would like to help, but don't have the time.
if you need something quick and easy for me to do (shine, glow maps, or some easy effects like a bullet effect or something), go ahead and ask.

Yeah, we're hiring freders. Basically I want someone who know SXP sexps usage and know variables. I also would like to have your tets mission if you want to apply.

how do I get my test mission up on the site, and is it okay that it was made with the retail Fred2?

You can attach files to your posts, much like you can with emails. Just click Additional Options when posting and the attachment option will be visible.

This was made half with Fred2 retail and half with 3.6.9 debug open. Hope it'll pass. If not then I'm back to work...

Do you still need a modeler? I started a while ago, and can provide a screenshot of a piece of work. I can't do the surfacing yet though (add colors to the surface and whatnot.) One other problem is, is I'm using Maya, and I still havn't found a way to get it into solid .pof format.

Send your models to me in a pm, in .obj format. Materials are irrelevant at the moment. And only i am doing the pof-ing, so no worries there.

I'm no more on TAP staff, but I'll test it anyway and give you some hints :)

i'll give it a thorough test this weekend, but from a quick notepad scroll-through it seems relatively good :)

Been intrested in helping you guys with Apoc, and I just noticed you have an open space for a table editor. What type of info do you need to see before I can join? Also I've found a couple sites with the Homeworld unit stats and have already figured out how to convert the values to FS2 stats.

I'd wager you could run off a few samples. Just make a quick table mod with the FS2 default ships and pm the link to picenipicek.

OK, I'll have some of the Homeworld 2 Fighters and bomber stats + their weapons done and linked by tomarrow evening.
