I want to say it's an EA weapon, but I think only the GTVA could make something so retarded looking

I'm going out on a limb here, but since you're using a GTVA briefing for the missile  I'm guessing it's GTVA Terran.  Besides, it's not green enough to be Sol.

Maybe it's some sort of player detonated meson bomb. Like the Infyrno, but with a huge meson explosion?

To tide over the seething masses
Well it's a binary explosive, so it's a chemical reaction.  A phlegm warhead? :)

There's plenty of meson bombs in BWO, but this isn't one.

here is a hint, if you hit something in mid air with a big fucking mallot, what happens to it?

I'd say goob is the closest so far.

Something that goes boom in a formation of enemy fighters and somehow (creates a small black hole/emmits a web of glue/creates a dense cloud of "stuff") slows them down/holds them in place/or just generally does weird **** to them ?

It seduces you into selling your soul to the--  Oh...  Not that kind of Erinyes...

Given Bobboau's hint, it sounds like the Sol-Terran's version of the Trebuchet.  Earthlings need fish too, right?

Given Ace's hint, it sounds like it kicks the crap out of your shields and subsystems, possibly carrying an EMP effect to go with the damage.  That would leave you disoriented and vulnerable to primary fire, especially if it knocks out your engines or weapons.  This could be fun, as long as I remember not to catch myself in the blast (kind of why I don't carry EMP weapons much to begin with).

I didn't look in the internal before posting that comment.  I still can't find any mention of it in the internal. :p

I bet it has absolutely nothing to do with the campaign, and is only a bit of misinformation.
