Anyone tried it out with FSO yet?

I doubt there's much that can be done for my GMA950, but I'm curious to see what, if any, benefit there is to users with more capable graphics hardware than me.

By the stars, I think RTT (env mapping) is working :D

:jaw:

Clipping is still broken though.  This will most likely have to be resolved in the code.

EDIT: No pun intended :nervous:

Sweet.  Clipping?  What was wrong with that?

Well, it's broken.  So when a ship warps in/out, it doesn't disappear as it passes through the subspace portal, and when a large ship explodes, you see two hole ships separating rather than two shrinking halves.

We had that issue on Windows for a while as well. Was fixed quite some time ago, though (revision 6285, to be precise).

Oh right, that is a OS X bug still, I just didn't know that's what you meant by clipping.  Yeah ships not disappearing through the portal properly and performing cell division when they blow up would be nice to have fixed.

Yup, env mapping is working.

Marking Mantis 1858 as fixed.
