So I've been having to use my mouse and keyboard to play as a result of the game not recognizing my 360 controller, which is fine with me. However, I'm used to more conventional flight sims so I'd like my X axis on my mouse to control rolling rather than my yaw. The options menu will allow me to select that option, but once I get in game my X axis won't do anything at all. The X axis works fine for yaw, however.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix?

There is an option in the Windows Game Controllers Control Panel to set a legacy device. Have you set your stick as this?
