Occasional black dradis
I've noticed a weird issue that i haven't seen mentioned here yet:

Sometimes the dradis isn't displayed properly (I've attached a screenshot and a log). This happens on any mission i launch right after starting the game, so it doesn't seem to be related to any particular mission or ship. Restarting the mission fixes it. After that it doesn't happen again until about 4 - 5 missions later. It's nothing game-breaking for me, just a mild annoyance.

My specs:
Intel Core i5 M450 2,4 GHz (Dualcore - up to 2,6 GHz via Intel Turboboost)
ATI Radeon HD 5730 (1 GB dedicated VRAM)
4GB RAM
Windows 7 64bit (updated to sp1)

I play on default settings with screenres set to 1366x768, wich is my screens native res (just in case it matters).
As I am on a laptop I am pretty much restricted to driver packages provided by my vendor (Lenovo), so upgrading the graphics driver sadly isn't an option (I am currently on Catalyst 12.3).

Anyway, thanks for the game. It's amazing regardless   ;)

EDIT: It happens with and without patch 1.0.1

Re: Occasional black dradis
I've had this happen before as well on the windows side.  Didn't notice it on the mac side.

Hardware: MacBook Pro late 2011
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Ram: 16GB
Video Card: ATi 6770m 1GB dedicated VRAM
Processor: 2.5Ghz Intel I7 Quadcore

Re: Occasional black dradis
I've also experienced this. Just a minor issue.

Specs
Windows 7 Home 64bit SP1
Dell studio 1749 laptop
Intel i5 2.5Ghz
ATI mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB
4 GB RAM

Re: Occasional black dradis
Disabling environment maps in the advanced tab of the launcher seems to fix it. I played through the campaign again (minus training) and haven't noticed it once. Also didn't really notice any significant drop in graphics quality (don't really have an eye for details though  ;) )

Hope this helps

The common factor across these systems which jumps out is the use of ATi cards.

Having said that, we've got plenty of reports of ATi cards generally working fine. Absent newer drivers, this may be an ATi OpenGL implementation issue.

They do all seem to be mobility cards
