FSOInstaller failed on fresh install
I have a vanilla install of Freespace 2 from GoG and attempting to install mods using Freespace Open Installer from http://www.fsoinstaller.com/. I opted to select the 'Complete' option to install all the mods. Every time I run the installer, it completes almost everything successfully except for 3 mods with this message:

FreeSpace Descent Manager Modding Tools: To use these tools go to <The Folder You Installed To>\tools\

The following errors were encountered:

Derelict Voice Pack: The file 'derelict_voice.zip' could not be downloaded.
MV_RadarIcons: The file 'MV_RadarIcons_3612.zip' could not be downloaded.
MV_AnimGlows: The file 'MV_AnimGlows_3612.zip' could not be downloaded.

According to this site, the mirrors are up for the above 3 files:
https://dev.tproxy.de/fs2/mirrors/

I also noticed in the MediaVPs_2014 directory, MV_RadarIcons.vp already exists. I ran a diff between the one that is already there and one i downloaded from the above mirror and it seems to be different slightly. MV_AnimGlows and Derelict Voice Pack doesn't exist at all.

Re: FSOInstaller failed on fresh install
:welcome:

Unfortunately I just tried to download all three files and they worked without any issues.

http://mvp.fsmods.net/3612/MV_AnimGlows_3612.zip
http://mvp.fsmods.net/3612/MV_RadarIcons_3612.zip
http://freespacemods.net/files/installer_files/campaigns/derelict_voice.zip

So I can't really give any more advice other than, try running the installer again? Alternatively your AV software (assuming using diff doesn't mean you're on Linux/OSX) might be getting in the way, although that generally affects the binaries, not data.

Lastly, the 2014 MV_RadarIcons.vp file will be different to the 3.6.12 MV_RadarIcons.vp file, that's expected as they are two separate versions/releases.

You don't need that stuff anyway! Unless you're playing Derelict.
