Can't Start Star Wars Trilogy Mod
Hi Guys,

i just installed the Game and every Mod works fine except the Star Wars Mod which i actualy installed it for. When i click run in the Launcher the first Intro Screen appears then i get the following Error Message:

not sure if this is the right file as i found it  in my Data folder in the main FS2 directory but this was the only one i found.

Why is this in your root FS2 folder?

Don't know i just installed it with the installer. Where should it be located?

Edit: Oh cool i deleted the file from the folder, now it seems to work! Thanks for the help:-)

Which installer? It's possible that others have had/will have the same issue in the future, and we'd like to nip the problem at the source.

I installed Freespace 2 and then Free Space Open with the Free Space Open Installer

http://www.fsoinstaller.com/

The Star Wars Mod i just copied into the main folder.

Ok, it's recommended that you install mods by placing them into their own subdirectory, such as C:\Games\Freespace 2\Star Wars Mod\, and then use the launcher to select which mod is active. The wxLauncher has this ability, and I think the 5.5g launcher might also, but it's been awhile since I messed with it.

I'll ask around to see if the fso installer is installing DeusExMachinaInterlude in the wrong spot.

I had a short chat with Goober5000, the author of the fsoinstaller, and he says the issue with Deus Ex Machina Interlude being installed to the main directory should be resolved.

If you find that other mods are installing to the wrong path, please making a post here FreeSpace Open Installer v2.2.1

Thnx, will do so. At the moment i only have problems with the voice recognition...this is giving me an error in while startup. Do you need another log file for this as well? It says SRGrammar file is missing or something
