I finally decided to finish this fighter and I have begun to texture it. The fighter is from one of [V]'s concept pics. And here is an early pic of it. So what do you think?

Sure, as soon as it's finished. But I gotta need some help with Kazan's POF CS. That's the tricky part.

It's nice, it has really nice form - how many polys? Got a couple more angles? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Right now it has 384 polygons. Then I'm gonna add four "engine glows". So the finished version will probably be around 450 polygons.

Not right now. But earlier version of the fighter had atleast working debris. Different lods shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe (good answer, huh). The thing is that modelling and making/appling textures aren't that hard. The other stuff, like making paths and stuff is something I haven't learned yet. And before I have learned that I can't really give you a honest answer.

Everyone can use it when I have finished it. If anyone wants a model especially for their campaign, I could make another model. But as I've said before, I would like to figure out POF CS before I say anything more.

I have a list with names that goes for shivan ships, but I haven't decided on anything yet. But if you guys have any suggestions for names, just post them here.

well to name a shivan ship it has to to be some form of evil, whether divine or man. The naming should also be limited to pre christian rome middle eastern cultures. These are including but not limited to Sumerian, Akkadian, Hebrew, Egyptian, Mycenian greek, Hellenic Greek, Rome, and Carthagin. Please remeber if a greek or egyptian name is used, it may sound "to vasudan" or terran.

Well, I must say that I haven't been working on it alot. The texture is about 80% done. It should be finished before the end of november.
But I also had thoughts of remapping it in 3DS Max so I could use two textures instead. And if I do that it should be finished sometimes before christmas. I could be finished earlier, but who knows.

I leaning towards using two textures so it should be ready in a month. It's not that it takes a month to make the textures (it takes 15-20 h maybe) but I have so much stuff right now and some Freespace stuff that are more important than this fighter.
