Hey guys, the fellow that helped me out with a few of the SL ships, HCI, asked if I can get him a 3ds version of the Mara for him to use in his Starlancer. So anyone able to convert one to 3ds with the texturing set correctly?

I will, but I don't know how well TS will make a 3Ds. and i don't know the spesific requiremnts for a SL ship.

All I need was one Mara, I told HCI I'd get him a FS2 ship if he wanted one for helping out. I know they can convert 3ds format with textures into SL's SHP format (SHP is like POF with the TBL data added for each ship).
Thunder and I did talk about a joint effort between FS2 and SL in a corss directory of models for each.
Figured this could be great for both groups...the standard ships from both games alone could greatly enhance each game's MODding arena.

I didn't get it if Shrike gave you the Mara in 3DS. I you still need it, mail me. I can (probably) fix it.

As for the texture alignment, I know that Styxx had to do that to several models for his trailer. Email him at [email protected] (that is the address I remember).

But once i got that getting V's skin on right just did not happen,..course TS2 SUCKS lol.

all the data is there it's just upsidown backwards insideout and covered over by a layer of white paint.
and the funny thing is I'm being completly honest,that is exactly what POF2COB dose to a POF.
so you just have torevers its dimentions twice, once alonge the x axis once along the z axis, rotate it around, flip it over and uncheck a box that pasts a white layer over it.
**for cool lookingnes in TS**
then i recomend useing the layered reflectances to gat a cool looking effect with the glows and shinynes, and don't forget the bump map.

Hard Light Productions hopes to make an area such as this functional soon, including COB, 3DS and LW file formats for all Freespace ships.
