I was watching a program about weapons on tv and they showed a gatling gun from the A10 worthog,Then i tought why not make rotating turret whit 4 or 5 barrels.And on each of the barrels a beam,so when it's start rotating it fires it's beam.Or put flak on it.

What do you guys think of that idea?

I suppose you could try it, but realistically you're doubful to get any good out of it....at any distance it'll look like it's just coming from one spot.

This sounds like the mining beam Cal's dad has in the IW2 trailer/intro/whatever.

Alastors are dangerous.

Allastors with swarm turrets are even more dangerous  
Unfortunately they are the only POFs that seem to work with swarm turrets.

Have you editted the Alastor .pof, or are you just editting the .tbl files or in Fred?

i have added the .pof file it fires missiles i also added the .pof of the fenris cruiser.

I only changed the .TBL to use a modified Subach HL7 with swarm tag as default weapon on the Allastor. On every other model this kind of weapon aims at a point completely off the target.

Oh, lots of people have been having problems with this. Shrike had a few a while ago trying to get some swarm turrets for his Arsenal to work. Swarm turrets only work on turrets that are their own subobject... or something like that... I'm really not sure. Shrike, where are you?  

Oh btw, anyone get a shield mesh onto the Fenris?

I once did a simple Alastor that fired Harpoons. Never tried with Tornadoes so I never knew it requred editiing the POF file.

How do you do that?
