The greebles make no sense. They're huge, ugly, and entirely the wrong shapes. They don't follow the established design pattern of the Orion. They cause errors in established campaigns for which tight placement is an issue (for example, Awakenings).
There is nothing wrong with having a large amount of detail. Vasudan Admiral is currently in the middle of greebling a retail ship, and it looks simply outstanding. But that's because VA knows how to follow the established design of the ship. Evolve the concept; don't pile papier-mâché on it.
(For the record, my complaint is with the model, not the texture. Bobboau's model seems to have been designed using the same philosophy with which he designs his code. Galemp's textures improved it as much as was humanly possible without actually re-engineering it from scratch.)
