Interesting will be the word. I hope they'll be able to manage the various factions well, so they're not too confusing in their multiplicity. That's happened in other campaigns before.

If I'm not here I'm doing one of several things:
1) Thesis
2) Other coursework
3) Faculty student government stuff
4) Meetings
5) The pub
6) A friends house
7) The multimedia lab
8) Another pub
9) Playing Pacific Fighters (http://www.pacific-fighters.com)
10) Watching Battlestar Galactica, Enterprise, and Stargate SG-1
:D
In BWO, everyone is your enemy...even your friends. Watch your back...

"OOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo"
You forgot to add that.

Lol.
Rock on icefire! sifi rules.
Im still waiting for the campiagn to release. I played the demo it was good.

*is wondering if testing is ahead or behind schedule*

They all blurr together...
We don't really have a schedule so its hard to say if were ahead or behind. We're doing a pretty good job.
We may finish before the sun explodes...yes yes :D

By the way, how many more missions to test before packaging can commence and what mission are you currently testing? Do you test the mission in order by the mission number? For example, did you test mission 1 first and go in order from there? I'm excited about this campaign that has been in developement for literally years.:)
We test them in order, yes. But we're not telling you what mission number we're currently on :p
I will say that we're about 1/3rd through the campaign, and testing would be smoother if FRED2 open was more reliable than Steam...

Dude, we're working on it. :doubt:
-
I don't see what the people are talking about.
Even after we're done with testing them all, we're still going to have to comb through them, at least two more times.
That'd mean we're done with about 1/9th :D
-
Not to be rude and disrespective or anything (this is just my own personal opinion), but the plausability of the Inferno campaign story, is proportional to its MOD quantity.
As far as this campaign goes.....urr to me it seems like only four people have been working on it.
Fourty missions.....quite a bit of mods (not a collosal amount, but mind you, there are a good deal of them)...
Yeah, maybe it seems like a stretch time-wise, but it should all be worth it in the end (depending on what the end is... right now there is a lot of potential for a campaign that blows the main FS2 one out of the Water..)
-
Time required for any project is a function of complexity over time inputed.
Draw your own conclusions.
-
Take your time, BWO team :) The demo was awesome and 40 missions of that quality will blow the main FS2 campaign out of the Water :)
(but plz, finish it b4 i die)
-
I'd like to finish it soon. I know its been years and I probably should appologize but since I started work on it I've been drifting quite a bit.
Of the original team, only I remain and Bobboau too (almost original :D). He's done his part for quite some time and done a great job of it. Kellan and Dynamo's legacies both remain too.
But we've picked up Ace who was always good at campaigns and he's done a fine job here. Also BD who's a beta testing fiend...its very good that way. Challenges us...we challenge him. Its very good.
I am for the most part at a distance at the moment. I think that will sort of stay that way for a while. I'm busy finishing my degree and that sort of thing....trying to figure out my life. When I started, I was trying to figure out what university I was going to go to. A life time ago.
Anyways, yes I want it done soon. But I want the missions, if nothing else, to be top notch. If there's a BWO V2.0 with enhanced MODs and that sort of thing done by the same or separate people down the road....I'd be happy to see that too. But guaranteed that you guys will get about 40 excellent quality missions complete with characters, large quantities of dialogue, and and very cohesive and true to canon story that you will rarely find elsewhere.
Most of all, you can have fun by playing the campaign twice with drastically different outcomes diverging about half way through.
Give it some time....we'll see how itworks out.

i'd hate to have to puase the game every few seconds to see what everyone is saying :p
-
...was it ever fast?

Man, progress on BWO and Inferno has slowed considerably.
The difference between BWO and Inferno is that they used to be fast and slowed down. We're moving at the same speed as we used to...maybe faster.
-
I just hope that the FSOpen build at the time of BWO completion is more stable for me then it is right now. (i just get crashes)
But i can wait.
-
at least the BWO team is more talkative than 3drealms about their next big release. :nervous:

We do like to talk and I'd rather tell you guys what I'm thinking and feeling rather than just shut up and not say anything.

This is gonna take forever :sigh:. Inferno might be released before this campaign. How can a campaign be in progress since the year 2000 and still not even be close to being done, let alone be done? Have you guys been slacking for years? ;) Inferno has been released once already and is almost done and has been in devolopment for about the same amount of time as BWO, but it has much more mods than BWO, and yet, BWO hasn't even seemed to progress as much as Inferno. The last update was in September:shaking:
Inferno isn't anywhere near done, certainly not to the extent that BWO is...
-
On the other hand....Infero has released part of their campaign :D
