JAD Collector's Edition Lacking MediaVPs
I have been playing the JAD Collector's Edition with the latest MediaVPs but I seem to be experiencing an unusual issue.

The wacky Orion-Hatshepsut hybrid just looks like a regular Hatshepsut and the model for the Perseus with the top hat seems to be missing, leaving only a floating top hat. In addition, the other MediaVPs do not seem tobe present, making the game look more vanilla.

Did I miss something in particular that I was meant to activate in the launcher or anything?

Any help with this issue would be most appreciated.

Regards

Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

Re: JAD Collector's Edition Lacking MediaVPs
I think the Collector's Edition still might be using 3.6.12 mediavps... (I thought I changed that, but I guess not!) You should just be able to get away with editing the mod.ini to point at the new MediaVPs.

Re: JAD Collector's Edition Lacking MediaVPs
I downloaded the correct version of Media VPs for JAD, version 3.6.12.

It seems to be working fine, although I have been experiencing a number of crashes from playing it.

I should advise I also downloaded the updates for that particular version of Media VPs as well.

Here is the last log file I got.

Re: JAD Collector's Edition Lacking MediaVPs
So sorry for the delay on following up on this. I don't know what to tell you about the crashes. JAD1-3 are pretty light on the mod features so I don't know what would cause your game to crash. Maybe buggy drivers or something?

Unfortunately, that log doesn't actually record a crash; just the game being closed successfully.

Although this is slightly odd:

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, what I did was after the game crashed, I opened it again in Debug and Windowed mode so I could record the crash. However, the game seemed to work fine instead, except for a few errors that came up during one mission. I was thus able to complete the mission ferfectly.

Indeed, I had the disc inserted the entire time.
