I installed the FSPort mod (FreeSpace 1) onto my GOG setup of FreeSpace 2. I am on the 3rd mission where we're supposed to intercept Vasudan squads and we're in the middle of an asteroid field of sorts. The problem is, I can't find where the rest of the enemies are. One of my squadmates found the Cancer but after that, we were flying aimlessly around and no enemy can be found. Can anyone help me with this?

Just look down at the radar (bottom of the screen) and move in the general direction of the "quivering red dots". You'll find them eventually.
Oh, and be sure to watch out for asteroids: it's possible to get hit by one if you're not paying attention (use the hat on you joystick to temporarily look in various directions....you do have a joystick, right?

Alright, got it. I'll try it out as soon as I can. Thanks! I was a bit frustrated awhile ago because we just seem to be flying around in circles for almost 10 minutes.

I haven't played FS2 with a joystick for more than 10 years now. Come get me bro :D

If i remember well:
1. i think the briefing has something about red radar blips,
2. i think one of your wingmen speaks about it on the beginning,
3. You might accidentally press some keys on keyboard and change your radar distance. To change it back, press [ ' ] key. (Just a friendly advice)
Luis Dias: I never played FS with joystick/pad, for example :). That would be 2/3 of my lifetime.

I'll second that you check this...I've had lots of "doh" moments caused by that.

Thanks a lot guys! I'm past that level now! Your tips were very helpful. It's a shame I didn't find the ace pilot though. I think I could've taken him down as well.

Note that if in previous mission the Orff was dameged to 80%, the ace will not appear in this mission.
Also, i think it's 2nd mission (5th if you count training).
