I'm using official media VP's and whatnot. I am using '20050959_Fred2_Open' executable.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unless there's 59 days in May there is no way you can have the right date for that executable

Anyway I'd suggest upgrading to 3.6.9 RC 3 and seeing what that does.
