Can't get it to work  
The game always gives me an Ulysses fighter in the very first mission. And since the Ulysses can't carry the Mekhu...

I removed all mods from the data directory, so that isn't it.

I took a quick look into the tables and noticed another thing: the numbers behind the description strings in the ships.tbl and weapons.tbl, you should change them to -1 to make the game use these strings (the numbers belong to entries in the tstrings.tbl, and the game will use these instead of those in the ships.tbl/ weapons.tbl)

I just took all the tables out of the vp and stuck them in the tables folder. Works fine that way

I just finished it. The funny part in that mission where the Iceni blasts through the node is that if the Typhon isn't destroyed, the mission is failed, but if it is, the mission is a success

Oh damn, you mean it still screws up sometimes?  I thought I had that fixed...oh well...update time again I geuss  .  Yeah, its part of the story so it is supposed to die...can't be letting the GTVA get off easy now can we?  .

Speaking of updates, if you d/led the campaign before today I would recommend d/ling it again as I found another bug...in the first Vasudan branch I somehow toggled a mission to be a loop when it had only one branch.  Result was it kept forcing you to repeat the mission  .  Not sure how I did that but its fixed now  .

Hmmm...that is kind of an odd thing.  I wonder why it doesn't want to find the tables in the .vp for some people, yet works fine for others.  In any case, looks like you found a solution Jabu, hella kudos to you  .  Anyone else having oddball problems with it either putting nothing but a Ulysses in place of something or simply dumping you back to the desktop please try what Jabu suggested, it seems to work rather well.

Her name was Ysanne Isard. Also known as Iceheart. She thought killed in an Imperial Shuttle near Thyferra by Tycho Celchu. The book was called the Bacta War I think,

Then she reappeared in Isard's Revenge and in charge of a secret TIE Defender squadron. SHe was killed by Wedge Antilles.

You get a cookie  .  Yep, thats where I got it...I was reading one of the books at the time I first found the VBB and, lacking any other name that I could think up, I borrowed that one.  I rather liked that character, for some reason I've always had a thing for harsh, powerful women  .  That and thanks to TIE Fighter I've always liked the Empire over the Rebels  .

That bug I told you happened in the earlier version, before I got the e-mail. I don't know if it's fixed

Extracting the tables didn't help, but after I created a new pilot it suddenly worked :confused Maybe something was messed with the pilot file, the funny thing was, that I got the image of the Anubis on the ship loadout screen, but there were no ship icons for the wings and available craft. And weapon loadout simply gave me a Ulysses.

They work fine for me...

Yes, I extracted them all, and now it works for me too, but only after I created a new pilot.
