And so my friends, the alien menace was defeated. Our brave soldiers made it trough many deadly battles, killing aliens by throngs. They've become real killing machines. Yet the aliens did not relent. More and more of them were coming.
And then Chuck Norris joined our ranks and all the aliens ran away. The Earth was saved!

Seems to me like a end to the LP, if things can't go forward anymore.
I might try a few moe weeks for see if anyting pops out, but I doubt it.

It's probably because of a glitch, or maybe because it's not yet finished. Either way, it was a good ride

No, alines pop up by the dozens...but nothing left to research. No needlers, no particle weapons among the aliens.Not even an alien base (I probably should make a massive sweep of the planet with all the craft I have and install radar arrays everywhere..

Oh no idea, I have never seen an alien base, or the needler so far on my campaigns, then again I tend to get bored pretty fast.

The alien base has been in-game for a while. As well as the needler.
You can't get the coilgun without it.

You find hte base by following UFO or having good radar coverage.

Disassemble a UFO and have 10 live aliens- that unlocks new $#!+ for research.

It will take some time for research to finish.

At the current point in time we have 6 bases, 3 strike teams, s***loads of SAM sites and bucketloads of money.

The New Starchaser interceptors are swell and I'm building them as fast as possible, but they cost redicolously high in alien materials (to the point of absurdity..the default cost for a starchaser is 7000 alien materials... one Harvester, when dissasembled, given you 800. Do the math!) I tweaked it down to more sane levels.

Furthermore, I'm playing with a new nightly build that normalizes the number of alien attacks per month, so we're not drowning in aliens anymore.

Rodo is very handy with the Heavy Laser...too bad the enemy have high resistances. Alas, ti doesn't help when you spam attacks at them. Ammo is not an issue.

Seeing as it's getting serious, you can change my loadout to something a little more..."Potent".

Your loadout is as potent as it can get.
You have a hand cannon (that is pretty much a one-handed sniper rifle) and a monomolecular knife. Both can damage the toughest of opponents. Plus you got the highest close combat skill of anyone. You're a murderdeath machine. I didn't make screenshots, but during one mission, you alone held a position against 3 aliens and you killed em all.

The others are now catching up with you.

They still would have won. Most of those are heavy armor wearing alien. A full auto with a HMG is not enough to kill one.

I managed to kill 4 before I lost power, but I don't anyone would have survived the return fire.
