We had to chance 14_year_war to tvw because the underline characters caused some inconvenient problems. Your website appears to be working for the most parts if not fully, hopefully this won't be a major inconvenience.

Bah, I got "Permission denied" when I tried to rename it from "tvw" to "tvwp". :(

EDIT: I'm getting permission denied for everything, even uploading, it seems...

Then **** it. I was looking for an excuse to disappear from the projects anyway. Not being able to contribute or access my files is reason enough i think.

Meh. Don't pull that crap. This project has been stagnant for too long. Even before it was declared "dormant" it wasn't going anywhere. I think we'd have better chances with only a small handful of people working on it rather than as many as we had/have.

Well it only ground to a halt when I got excited over all of Swamp Thing's models and tried to expand the fleet.  It was progressing nicely up until then.

We have, what, 3/4ths of the Unification War missions done?  One more push and we can easily finish that at least.  This is going to be my first priority after ST:R is released.

Meh. Those models. Everyone raved about how great they looked (I personally didn't care for the design, but that's simply my opinion), but they were horribly unoptimized. Horribly. I mean... some were upwards of 6-7k polies... for nothing! A real ***** to UV map since he only ever applied the simplest of mappings to it. :doubt:

And I don't care if that sounds like I'm bad mouthing him. I just don't care any more. Too much political correctness these days as it is.

I thought they were fine, perhaps needed some texture work, but adequate.

Nothing to halt production over though.

Don't worry, I completely agree with you.  I got the same reaction from Galemp - I guess it takes a modeller to spot those kinds of things.  The best models in the world won't do you any good if they're not suitable for the game. :)

Production was halted because we kind of decided (somehow or other) that we would get the models in-game before continuing work.  That didn't work out so well, as you can see.

Well, I have a month in between semesters. And AFAIR I have just one ship to do for MT, and nothing else. If I do get the urge to model or map What should/would my time be best spent on? Post in the internal, I guess.

I'm not sure, actually.  If we go with the original fleet we had before Swamp Thing showed up, we pretty much have everything we need already.

Well I have my ST copy originale, worked enough for me. Don't much need the snazzy graphics or the fixes, easily completable on its own as it is.
