So, im playing the Blue Planet AoA campaign but im incurring into framerate problems when i "look" at the sun, any sun in the game severely diminishes te framerate of the game, despite de fact my notebook is perfectly capable to handle anything else.
I wish to know if there a way to resol this, i cannot get past the Duke protection mission because of this.
Thanks.

Please post your fs2_open.log file. Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.
If my suspicions are correct, you may be using an Intel iGPU. These are known for having terrible performance with high intensity post-processing. Do you have light shafts turned on? This can cause a significant drop in framerate on most Intel iGPUs.

Disabling light shafts and post-processing did the trick.
Thank you.
And yes, im using, sadly, a Intel iGPU.

Ah, well at least you got it to work quickly. Do you know the exact model of intel card on your processor? I might be able to make some recommendations for launcher settings.

Here you go:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3612QM 2.1Ghz Quad
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
4Gb RAM
Thanks.

Ah, yeah you will want to keep post-processing disabled. You can, however, enable most other features.
