Freespace V.S. Star Wars Part Two
Deep within a nebula of unknown size and origin, the Galactic Terran Vasudan Alliance continues with their mission of exploration and containment.
Little do they know of the dangers that lurk behind these cold ionized fields.
Hidden deep within the nebula, a Mon Calamari Cruiser's tractor beam has captured a three Hercules Mark II fighters, one with destroyed engines.
The three pilots of Kappa wing are escorted to the bridge of the cruiser to be interogated by the ships captain.
"What do you think they want with us?" said the pilot of Kappa 1. "What I'm wondering about is if they are allied with the Shivans. If they are then we are really in for it." replied the pilot of Kappa 3.
They arrived at the bridge. The pilots of Kappa wing had never seen such a clean and diamond shining room. The technology about them compelled them into total awe.
The three pilots saw on a chair in the center of the room a brown, fish-like, creature with large round eyes and a large head. It's hands were long and wiggly. "Would you like to tell me where you are from?" said the unkown captain.
"We... we were exploring the Nebula. Please, we don't mean any harm to any of you unless you attack us." said Kappa 1.
"I have not accused you of being hostile. If our tractor beam had not pulled you into our hangor you would either be in the hands of the Empire by now or worse."
"Who are you?"
"I am captain Voli Shon of the Maria. A ship controlled by the Rebel Alliance. However by the looks on your faces I believe you have never heard of us?"
"Where do you come from?"
"My race, for example, comes from the planet Mon Calamari. However we have no idea how far away we are from there now."
"I have never heard of that planet before."
"Maybe you have not discovered it yet. Our galaxy is made up of billions of planets and billions of races all form together in our galactic society. For years now the Galactic Empire has controlled most of the galaxy. We were looking around Byss for old parts and scap metel we could use but imagine our suprise when we found a gate cepable of transporting us here through a method other than Hyperspace."
"Hyperspace?"
"Hyperspace is very similar to what you call Subspace, however there are many differences, but we don't have to tell you all that just yet. After we arrived here, Admiral Thrawn somehow followed us. He must have took notice of our activity here."
"Who is Admiral Thrawn?"
"One of the Empire's most loyal and best strategists. He has a massive fleet under his command."
"You mean, those giant triangles?"
"Imperial Star Destroyers are one of the Empire's most formidable weapons. We have scanned the Nebula and have located all of your ships. Unfortunately, if Thrawn is here then it means bad news for you people."
"How can we stop his fleets from coming through?"
"We have studied Subsace and have found it a very unstable method of space travel. By detonating a ship the size of a Calamari Cruiser or a Star Destroyer inside of Subspace we could collapse it. But the gate back in Byss would still stabilize the link. We should destroy it and the link in order to prevent any more Imperials from coming through. Unfortunately, three Imperial Star Destroyer surround the node. It will be impossable for us to reach it."
"One of us could go to alert the GTVA and we could help you get to the node."
"Thank you. We appreciate the help."

Meanwhile...
In another area of the Nebula, the evil Admiral Thrawn gathers his fleet to begin a sweep of the Nebula.
"Sir, we are picking up a response to the message we sent to the unknown ships." "The Red and Black ones? Excellent. Let me hear it." "Yes, sir..."
The SD Ravana came into view infront of the Star Destroyer.
"The message is coming through now, sir! Translating now!"
An evil grin spread out across Thawn's face as the translated message apeared on the viewscreen on his seat...
