Any of you know that fabulous horror video game - it was in DOS, a loooong time ago (tho DOSBOX makes it run on XP too, dunno about Vista).
It had a (very bad, if you ask me) sequel with the pretty obvious name: Blood 2.

So, any of you? Is there anyone who already destroyed the Lucifer AND Tchernoborg?

Yip the blood series was one of my favourite franchise's, i loved it, got the soundtrack on my pc, Caleb's one liners were classic, despite the fact most of them were taken from films. I did enjoy parts of Blood 2  but the ending was rubbish and tchernoborg wasn't in it. I do wish they would make another one

Just what film/films are the Blood games based on? While IMDB lists many aptly named titles, none of them stars a character called Caleb.

I don't know if it's based on any films at all, but there was a manhwa (Priest) inspired by it that seems to be getting a movie adaptation.

The games themselves aren't based on a set film, but the games anit-hero(the player) quotes a long line of quotes from other films ie.

There is a level in episode 2 called hell hotel which is very similar to the hotel in the Shining and in the garden you find a frozen body kneeling and caleb says "heres Johnny"

others include him saying
"never more" upon seeing a raven
"i live again"
"aah fresh victims for my ever growing army of the undead!"
"Oooh what a wonderful smell I've discovered!" star wars???
"Give me some Sugar, baby" (Evil Dead)
"Were going to need a bigger boat" Jaws

there are many more. i just wish i could get both games to work under XP and with a Geforce 8800 GTX for blood 2.

Yup, it's full of quotes.
Does B1 works for you on XP? (DOSBOX)

no i can't seem to get the 1st one to work properly, i can get it working but the sound is awful and it keeps crashing. I really wish monolith would make another and  another shogo, but i have heard rumours them doing a remake of the first blood

http://buildxp.deathmask.net/ might be able to iron out problems with that.

I hope that they'll be able to maintain the creepiness.
And no darkness, please! Blood was about something entirely different!
