I cant find a topic for this, so I'll just create it.

How is armor divided? Each armor component has 32 pts to give, so is it only added to armorpoints or internal as well?

There are 11 armor sections, how does 32pts get allocated to 11 sections?

From what I have gathered, the system auto allocates armor whatever armor you don't allocate. So, you can chose to say front load all base and additional the armor on the mech. Or you can just set a base amount and let the system apply all of the rest of the extra armor.

The two things you want to avoid are having:
1) a variant having less "currentarmorpoints" on any given component than the "basearmorpoints" value for the given component. This causes an unrepairable damage bug.

2) allocating more armor than the "Max armor" value or allocating more armor in the "basearmorpoints" than is set in "Total Armor" value. Either of these will cause the unrepairable damage bug.

Also, you put 1534 armor on that mech. That is an ungodly amount.

27 tons of armor = 832 for classic BT and about 620 compared to how things are armored in this game. But hey, who doesn't like a challenge :lol:

It reminds me of the vanilla atlas that shipped with MC2 - it required 11 armor sections to reach max armor. The most of all mechs in vanilla MC2.

BTW did you try the clone mech exploit?

The CSV Calculator file in the MC2 Source will help you as it shows the percentages that are divided up per armor location. It was also used to create the original CSV files, but they used Excel 98. I haven't tested it beyond 2003, but that version CSV files still worked.

You have a lot of "empties" that look to be trying to call an item from the compbas. The number right before the name of the item is the important one.

Erm I cant remember which thread, but i did read that only the compbas number matters. Everything else in the line can be ignored. And I did exactly that for other clone mech csvs and they all turned out fine.

Only this particular csv ff ed up.

Anyways I just re copied everything from the base csv and it works now.

Omega (150) is in MCO, too... its just not released, and Osiris and Kraken, and Supernova.
And my new design:
Viking (85t).

New humanoid design, not the one from BT.

Coool, I like the omega very much.

Is there a mech/unit request thread?

Would like more clan units. Athena tank would be neat.

The default string for 100+ is Extreme.

I changed it to the one used by the sarna wiki - superheavy.
