I just finished a mecha series called Majestic Prince. It was actually better than I was expecting... kinda cliched storywise, but holy crap those were some amazing mecha battle sequences. (Embedding the video isn't working for some reason...  )

I just blew through "No Game No Life" and was quite entertained. Also recently finished the last of Season 2 of SAO, and enjoyed it.

Recently found a show called "Planetes" which is hard sci-fi about space debris collectors. First episodes so far are pretty good!

It had emotion, and many parts were fun, and Asuna is an interesting character, and things. I know SAO is extremely polarizing, and I'm not going to argue that it's amazing, just that I enjoyed it.

Even the "good part" of season 1, Aincrad, was drek at best, and Fairy Dance was an utter cesspool of suck.  And now season 2 is starting on Toonami in less than a week, and masochist that I am, I'll be watching it.  **** me.

But yeah, Planetes is an incredibly good show.  Probably the hardest take on near-future space life that I've ever seen.
