Sometimes people are unable to make difference between spelling and grammar. Ressurgence is a spelling mistake.

Topace, your announcement made me take a look at the demo of RR, which I somehow missed till now. Just a 'minor' issue : I put the *.vp into the FS2 directory, selected the campaign, but in M1 my fighter is not equipped with any primaries... Any hints?

I installed no mods, just the latest SCP. May it be that this is messing up with the campaign?

The demo is stricly optimized for the Retail(Volition) FreeSpace. Any SCP features may cause trouble. The final version will be better tested with SCP features.
The problem you have basically sounds as I forgot to allow primaries in the campaign file, but it is strange, since nobody reported this to me. If you have a way, try Original FreeSpace without any SCP features. If you run [V] FreeSpace, do not forget to tell 'restart the campaign' in the campaign room.

Try creating a new pilot as well. I had that problem with Inferno or something, and creating a new pilot did the trick.
