It's annoyin' when they sometimes modify th' forum t' turn most words into pirate form.  I can't understand it very well when they do that.

Roughly translated: "Boy howdy, if we suddenly started to babble in Finnish, not to mention with a strong Northern accent, it might be somewhat incomprehensible to some people."
Maybe if the pirate talk script was an option available during Talk Like a Pirate Day, it could work. But as a forced option, it tends to get annoying when you have to decipher people's posts.

I'm trying to mean that pirate talk is occasionally to me, and apparently to High Max, as challenging as Finnish might be to a monolingual Yankee, for example. Meaning that with a dictionary or heavy deducing, it is possible to understand it, but it takes a buttload of time. And, as I've stated earlier, time is money and I don't have either.

Or should we just say that I'm as incomprehensible to most people as Finnish is?

With normal map support on the way, are you going to make normal maps for all the ships and delay BWO even further or not?

Normal maps won't take long, what we need though are people willing to help HTLize ships.

Its not out of the question to tack something like a normal map on as a patch later if it became an issue that was holding up release.  Thats something you can do.  Not having the models in place or having ones that were created from before the days of the Source Code Project is another thing.

That hasn't been 100% finalized and we don't have it all nicely typed out.  There are some new weapons...not too many...most of them are for the Sol ships which use some Prometheus and Avenger derivatives (at least initially).  We have a pretty funky missile which Bobboau invented which I believe we're keeping and it has a pretty average damage potential but a huge mass impact so you lock, fire, it hits and does some damage but what it really does is just absolutely pummel the target with a kinetic hit and the ship is suddenly hanging there ready for your guns.  Its kind of like a Flail but its in missile form and it hits all at once.
